Bengkung belly binding is a traditional postpartum practice that provides gentle support to the abdomen, hips, and lower back after birth. Using a long cotton wrap, this service focuses on comfort, stability, and helping the postpartum body feel held during recovery—not on body reshaping. Sessions are customized to your body, birth experience, and comfort level, and may include a traditional warming paste and aftercare guidance. Bengkung binding can be a supportive complement to postpartum healing for both vaginal and cesarean births, once the body is ready for hands-on care. Incudes one wrap and session in your home.
You can also choose to add on herbal warming paste. This warming paste is traditionally used as part of Bengkung belly binding, but it can also be helpful for postpartum cramping or for supporting a belly that isn’t being bound. Made from a blend of natural herbs and spices, it is intended to gently warm the abdominal area, encourage circulation, and support the body as it releases retained fluid. Ingredients: Organic blend of ginger, clove, turmeric, cardamom, cinnamon, cumin, kaffir lime leaves, and witch hazel leaves. Please note: this paste may stain fabric.
